Robert
and Barbara McLure of Morning Rise Stud celebrated a debut winner by Pierro at
Bairnsdale on Tuesday.
Prepared by Henry Dwyer, three year-old filly True Magic was favourite for the 1200
metre maiden and showed her class with an easy three-quarter length win over
older rivals.
Bred and retained to race by Morning Rise Stud, she is a half-sister to Group
III placed Diva Dee and is the third winner from stakes-placed Redoute's Choice
mare True Doubt, a half-sister to dual Group I winner and sire Road to Rock.
True Doubt is due to foal to Rubick this spring.
The Champion First and Second Season Sire, Coolmore's Golden Slipper winner Pierro
stands at a fee of $88,000 this spring.
