Daily Debutants

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 22
A highly competitive three year-old maiden at Sandown on Wednesday features the debut of a well-bred So You Think filly, whose brother Inference was the star of the show at the Chatswood Stud stallion parade last weekend.

G1 Winner Inference was the star ofthe show at Chatswood StudA top class three year-old that won the Group I ATC Randwick Guineas and placed in the Rosehill Guineas and Victoria Derby, Inference was trained by Team Hawkes, who also put the polish on his little sister Sequitur.

Retained to race by her breeders, she has shown ability in two Sydney barrier trials and has Dwayne Dunn to ride.

Another interesting debutant in the race is expensive Shamexpress filly Shamwow, purchased for $300,000 at the Magic Millions. She is a half-sister to Kiwi Group III winner Soubrettes from the family of Group I winner Star Satire and last season’s juvenile stakes-winners Satin Slipper and Granny Red Shoes.

Trained by Natalie Young and Trent Busuttin, Shamwow won her only previous trial and has drawn ideally in gate four with Regan Bayliss to ride.
