Courageous and sound, dual Group One winner Stratum
Star went to stud the best son of his sire Stratum and his first foals are now
arriving at Widden Stud.
Widden of course stood Stratum also, who died when just 14 years-old having
left 37 stakeswinners including Golden slipper winner Crystal Lily in his first
crop, so it was more than fitting that his best son returned to his place of
birth to fill the void.
A Group One winner of the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and Kingston Town Classic,
Stratum Star was also Group One placed in the Memsie Stakes, Australian Guineas
and Toorak Handicap.
The below miss is one of his first arrivals at Widden, out of Essie's Pride.
Stratum Star was well supported in his first season and stands his second at Widden
at a fee of $11,000.
