8 Length Stakes-Winner for Sepoy

Tara Madgwick - Sunday August 12
Switching to Darley Victoria this spring for the first time, Sepoy was in the frame overnight in the UK where his quality daughter Unforgetable Filly scored a resounding eight length win in the Listed Dick Hern Stakes at Haydock.

SepoyA Group II winner at three of the German One Thousand Guineas, the Hugo Palmer trained mare struck top form with this scintillating win.

A good last start fourth in a Listed race at Ascot, Unforgetable Filly was right back to her best when powering clear for Ben Curtis to win this one mile contest as she pleased to take her overall record to four wins from 14 starts, three of those wins in stakes races.

"Unforgetable Filly quickened up very well and stayed on all the way to the line. She's come back to her old self. She showed signs on her last start at Ascot and that rode like a good a race," said Ben Curtis.

The best of five winners from Oasis Dream mare Beautiful Filly, Unforgetable Filly comes from the family of Group I winner and successful shuttle sire Stravinsky (USA).

Sepoy had a great last season in Australia represented by his dual Group I winning filly Alizee and Group III winner Marcel from Madrid. He had 76 winners of over $5.6 million in earnings to finish 24th on the general sires list.

The Golden Slipper winner stands at Darley Victoria at a fee of $11,000.
