Another Jumpout for Black Caviar's Boy

Darryl Sherer - Friday May 18

Prince Of Caviar progressed his education at Flemington on Friday with the son of Black Caviar contesting another jumpout.

Prince Of Caviar was in heat three over 800m and after being allowed to balance up in the early stages by Luke Nolen, was asked to work the last 300m and made ground around the outside to finish third to the Danny O'Brien-trained Embrace Me, beaten one length in a hand-timed 48.92 seconds.

"He jumped good then sat in behind them," Hawkes said. "Luke let him work home nicely and the horse did everything that was asked of him.

"Luke said the horse was happy, nice and relaxed and he was happy with him."

Friday was the second jumpout for Prince Of Caviar this preparation however, Hawkes would not be drawn on when the son of Sebring will be sent to the races.

"He's done everything right and he's going to be a three-year-old. We're hoping to get a run out of him as a two-year-old and then ideally put him away," Hawkes said.

"We'll see how he is in the next few days and then let him tell us.

"The good thing is this horse works with you and every time you ask him something, he listens to you and he's certainly got some ability.

"He's come along nicely and we're very, very happy with what he's done."
