When
Chris Waller and Guy Mulcaster paid $1,300,000 for a Snitzel filly from Azmiyna
(IRE) at the recent Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale they were in part
motivated by the knowledge her two year-old three-quarter brother had been
pleasing them greatly.
That colt, a son of Redoute’s Choice called The Autumn Sun, makes his debut at
Randwick later today and has shown good ability at the trials with Kerrin
McEvoy to ride.
A $700,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Arrowfield draft for Hermitage
Thoroughbreds / Waller Racing, The Autumn Sun will be the first runner for
Azmiyna, an unraced half-sister by Galileo to Group I winner and sire Azamour.
This juvenile maiden looks a strong one on paper and also features the debut of
Danawi, an Exceed and Excel colt who is the first living foal of dual Group I
winner Secret Admirer.
A $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase, he won his only trial earlier this month for
the Tim Martin stable.
