Stakes-placed
at Flemington last spring, All Too Hard filly Warranty looks set to gain
further Black Type this preparation following a strong finishing win on the
Kensington track at Randwick on Wednesday.
The most expensive filly from the first crop of All Too Hard, the Peter and
Paul Snowden trained Warranty disappointed when resuming from a spell to finish
at the tale of the field in February but has obviously put that out of
character run behind her.
She came from last to first for Blake Shinn, winning the Benchmark 74 event
over 1100 metres by half a length.
With three wins from six starts, Warranty was a $510,000 Magic Millions
purchase for James Harron Bloodstock from the Woodside Park draft and runs for
Fairway Thoroughbreds.
She is the second winner from Factor of Safety, a half-sister by Encosta de Lago
to Group I winner Gathering, Group III winner Florentina and last Saturday’s
new stakes-winner California Turbo, her third dam being super producer Dancing
Show (USA).
This is the family of countless Group I winners including Redoute’s Choice,
Umatilla, Hurricane Sky, Al Maher and Manhattan Rain, so it’s not hard to see
why Warranty was the most expensive filly from the first crop of yearlings by
All Too Hard.
Woodside Park sold a yearling half-sister to Warranty at Inglis Easter last
week, the Sebring filly fetching $170,000 to the bid of Laurel Oak Bloodstock,
so they will be cheering Warranty on to win her first stakes race!
