have made a big impression in every area of the Australian bloodstock market
and featured on Saturday not only as the buyer of smart Adelaide two year-old
stakes-winner Fundamentalist, but also as the vendor of the other stakes-winner
on the Morphettville program in Spring Choice.
Prepared by the Hayes / Dabernig training partnership, well-supported Not a
Single Doubt filly Fundamentalist came from the tail of the field with a
barnstorming finish to take out the Listed SAJC Dequetteville Stakes (1050m) by
a length.
Fundamentalist was making her third start. She was second at Bendigo over 1100
metres when on debut back on December 12. Sent for a spell she made a winning
return to the track when breaking her maiden at Mornington on April 1.
Fundamentalist was a $135,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase
for Aquis/ Blue Sky Bloodstock from the Holbrook Thoroughbreds draft and runs
for Aquis and partners.
She is the third foal and first winner for the Keep The Faith mare Centafaith
who is a half-sister to six winners including the stakes-placed Centagon.
A daughter of the stakes-winning mare Centaleigh, Centafaith was covered by Aquis
based Divine Prophet last spring, yet another reason to celebrate the stakes
win of Fundamentalist!

Choice is building an impressive record for the Leon and Troy Corstens stable
stepping up to stakes class at Morphettville on Saturday to win the Listed SAJC
Port Adelaide Guineas.
With wins at Geelong and Mornington at his two previous starts, Spring Choice
kept the winning roll intact when taking the 1800 metre feature by
three-quarters of a length.
A $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Aquis Farm draft for Next Level
Bloodstock/ Malua Racing, Spring Choice has the smart record of three wins and
four placings from eight starts with prizemoney topping $160,000.
He was a successful pinhook having been bought for $55,000 at the MM National
Weanling Sale by 888 Equine.
Spring Choice is the first winner for First Blossom (USA), an unraced Giant's
Causeway grand-daughter of blue hen Korveya, the dam of Group I winners Hector
Protector, Bosra Sham and Shanghai.
