A horse named after his Lot number at Karaka has delivered a big black-type win for his connections, taking out Saturday's A$150,000 Listed Ladbrokes Galilee Series Final (2400m) at Caulfield.
Won Won Too(NZ) (Tavistock), who went through the 2016 Ready to Run Sale as Lot 112, raced in midfield in the staying test before creeping forward into fourth at the 400-metre mark.
With Jordan Childs in the saddle, he finished too strongly for his rivals in the straight, beating stablemate Rezealient (Sebring) by a long neck.
Trained by David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig for Hong Kong owner Eric Wong, Won Won Too has now had seven starts for two wins, one placing and A$111,915 in prize-money.
Won Won Too was bred by Mrs H M & L R Monehan, and he was offered by Riversley Park at the Ready to Run Sale.
