Inglis Autumn Sale a Success as All Roads Lead to Easter

Media Release - Sunday March 18

Today's Inglis Autumn Thoroughbred Sale was a resounding success, with the move to a Sunday proving a winning one for vendors and buyers alike.

At the conclusion of the mixed sale, 154 horses had been sold at a phenomenal clearance rate of 93%.

The sale averaged $10,181.

The top Lot was anunraced Redoute's Choice filly named Pedicelfrom Lindsay park, which GB Bloodstock purchased for $85,000.

The second-top Lot was a three-time winning Snitzel colt Epic Moment offered by Sun Stud, which sold to McPherson Racing for $72,000.

Inglis' Victorian Bloodstock Manager Simon Vivian was buoyed by the day's trade.

"There was magnificent competition within the buying bench and for any sale to reach a 93% clearance rate is outstanding,'' Vivian said.

"Godolphin, Lindsay Park, the vast majority of the vendors who supported the sale have left extremely satisfied with their results.

"We moved the sale from a Friday to a Sunday and the results showed that was definitely what our buying bench preferred for this particular sale.''
