Hunter Valley based Valiant Stud has proven to be a fruitful source of winners that include Group I winner Kimochi, this season’s top class juvenile North England and $1million earner So United, one of the stars of the Magic Millions race day in 2024 winning the $1million Subzero.
Kimochi was sold in the Valiant Stud draft as a weanling for $21,000 to her previous owners and was a multiple Group winner before changing hands for $2.2million at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale earlier this year and joining the Yulong stable.
Sporting the bottle green colours this spring, Kimochi won the Group I MRC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and has now won over $1.9million!
Farnan colt North England attracted the attention of the big players at Inglis Classic fetching $280,000 when bought from Valiant Stud by China Horse Club / Newgate Bloodstock / Go Bloodstock / Trilogy and has quickly proven his worth with a close third in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate followed by a win in the $1million ATC Golden Gift.
So United has been a dream come true for syndicators Blueblood Thoroughbreds, snapped up from the Valiant Stud draft at Magic Millions in 2019 for $190,000.
The now seven year-old gelding by So You Think has won six of 39 starts earning over $1million in prizemoney for his big group of very happy owners.
So You Think is set to play a role again for Valiant Stud at Magic Millions in 2025 with the draft of nine featuring the full brother to Group III Winx Guineas winner Majestic Colour.
The So You Think x Fastnet Rock nick has also produced Group I winner Palaispan and Group III winner Banana Queen among 26 winners bred this way.
