Life On The Wire gave Vinery stallion Pluck a new stakes winner when proving too good in Sunday's Group III Vamos Stakes (1400m) at Launceston.
Trainer David Brunton trained the first two home with Life On The Wire defeating Step The Pedal (Elvstroem) by 1 3/4-lengths with
Jockey Craig Newitt told Tasracing he was always confident aboard the four-year-old.
"She was pretty push button, she was never going to lose - she had that race in control a long way out." Newitt said.
Life On The Wire sold for $10,000 as a yearling at the Magic Millions Adelaide yearling sale and has now won seven of her 13 starts and earned $254,925.
Life On The Wire is the third winner for Taupo Cup winner Our Seventh Heaven (Vettori) following Adelaide winners Tenere and Celestial Story.
Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf winner Pluck now has three stakes winners from three crops of racing age. He was advertised at $9,900 at Vinery Stud in 2017.
