A star studded opening session of the Tattersalls December Mares Sale is underway and before the Sceptre Session started Australian trainers Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr and bloodstock agent Dermont Farrington found value paying 170,000 guineas for Group placed filly Ring True, while Yulong buying as Willingham snapped up a mare in foal to Too Darn Hot.
Consigned by Juddmonte, two year-old Belardo filly Ring True has had six starts showing improvement through the season with a win in France preceded by three runs in Listed and Group company for two seconds and a fourth.
She comes from a big Juddmonte family with her third dam Group I winner Honest Lady, the dam of Group I winning sire First Defence and her foruth dam is blue hen Toussaud.
Avenue Sales sold Group III placed mare Zoinnocent in foal to Too Darn Hot first season to Southern Hemisphere time to Willingham aka Yulong for 330,000 guineas.
The mare comes from the family of Hong Kong superstar and Cox Plate winner Romantic Warrior.
