Tavisky rewards Preston 10 fold

Media Release - Thursday February 22
An upset win at Wyong on Tuesday has handsomely rewarded owner-trainer Greg Preston with his Tavistock filly Tavisky just a $2,500 purchase off gavelhouse, com.

TaviskyBought unraced from the Chris Waller Stable, the filly has now had eight starts for Preston, who trains a small team at Cessnock.

Having decided to keep the daughter of Tavistock fresh, the approach has paid dividends in the form of $24,225 in prizemoney to date.

"She blew up after her last run but has come back a different horse this time in and has really developed into her frame," Preston commented.

"She is a highly strung horse that tries her heart out, whether in a race or on the track so I will just try and keep her happy and won't try her over further than a mile."

Another gavelhouse.com purchase in the stable has also returned multiples of his modest $2,100 purchase price. Dr Kimble was billed as a slow-maturing individual when offered for sale and has since won $13,000. Ready to come back into work, Preston is looking forward to further success with the son of fellow gavelhouse.com graduate Wanted .

The Chris Waller stable has heartily supported gavelhouse.com's venture into the Australia market since site's launch there in November 2016 and has built a reputation for selling horses that have plenty of upside in easier racing environments.

The Waller stable have three unreserved Lots in the current gavelhouse.com auction that features 12 racing prospects as well as a three quarter sister in blood to CHOISIR offered in foal to Lyndhurst Stud's BETTER THAN READY who stood for $9,000 + GST in the spring.

Bidding is set to close from 7pm AEDT on Monday 29 February. Register online to bid or get in touch with the team for more information via info@gavelhouse.com or call +613 9614 4882
