Casting off maiden status with a fast finishing victory at Newcastle on Tuesday was a promising son of Yes Yes Yes that has designs on stakes races later this month following a path that will hopefully lead to the Group I ATC Spring Champion Stakes.
Trained by Annabel Neasham and Rob Archibald, Firm Agreement was a close second on debut at Newcastle at the start of September and was well fancied in the 1500m maiden today.
Ridden patiently by Tom Sherry, Firm Agreement powered to the line from back in the field doing his best work on the line to win by a head with better races on the horizon.
“He’s a progressive sort and we think he will get over further,” said co-trainer Rob Archibald.
“We’re looking to the Gloaming Stakes (G3 1800m) on Saturday week and then hopefully to the Spring Champion Stakes (G1 2000m)).

Bred by Dr Denis O’Brien and his wife Claire, Firm Agreement was foaled and raised at Coolmore and pinhooked from their draft at the MM National Weanling Sale for $125,000 by Redwall Bloodstock. He comes from a huge family as his grand-dam Money Begets Money is a sister to Group III winning blue hen Mica’s Pride, the dam of Group I winners Criterion, Comin’ Through with countless Group winners packing the page.
Money Magic has an unnamed two year-old colt by Yes Yes Yes and is due to foal again to The Everest winner this spring.
Firm Agreement is the seventh winner this season for Yes Yes Yes, who stands at Coolmore at a fee of $19,250.
