Sydney Metro Winner for Yes Yes Yes

Tara Madgwick - Monday June 10

Breaking her maiden with a speedy front running performance at Canterbury on the holiday Monday in Sydney was the Brad Widdup trained Yes Yes Yes filly Maili.

Maili had race fitness on her side at her third run back from a spell and sped through the heavy ground to open up a good lead turning for home under Zac Wadick.

She had enough left to fight off the challengers scoring a half length win in the 1250m fillies maiden after chasing home quality fillies Tehina and subsequent stakes-winner Clean Energy at her two previous runs this preparation.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase for BK Racing from the Tyreel Stud draft, Maili is a half-sister to stakes-winner Kalino and is the third winner from metro winning I Am Invincible mare Lanikai, who comes from the family of Group I winners River Dove, Captivant and Crown Prosecutor.

Maili was a $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from Tyreel Stud.

Lanikai produced another filly last spring by Yes Yes Yes and is now in foal to Pierro.

Maili is the first Sydney metro winner for Yes Yes Yes, who has sired four stakes placed runners – Flattered, Nymphadora, Yes Lulu and Let’s Go Barbie.

Yes Yes Yes stands at $19,250, click for ore info and a Hypo mating.

The Everest winner stands at Coolmore this spring at a fee of $19,250.
