$1.4million for Rubisaki

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 30

There were only four mares offered in foal to champion sire Snitzel at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale and the most expensive of them was brilliant $1.2million earning Group II winner Rubisaki, who was secured by B2B Thoroughbreds on Thursday for $1.4million.

Rubisaki sold for $1.4million in foal to Snitzel.

Consigned by Morningside, Rubisaki was having her second trip to the MM National having been bought from this sale in 2022 as an off the track race filly for $1million by James Harron Bloodstock/Morningside.

Subsequently sent to Written Tycoon, she produced a colt last spring for her new owners before being covered by Snitzel and has also had a couple of good pedigree updates to her page.

Rubisaki has two half-sisters at stud and both have produced stakes horses this year in The Nephew, winner of the Listed Tasmanian Derby and Flattered, who has been twice stakes-placed at two.

A Prime Thoroughbreds colour bearer on the track having been bought from the Edinburgh Park draft at Inglis Classic for $85,000, Rubisaki is proving a money maker for all who have crossed her path.
