Promising So You Think Goes Two for Two

Tara Madgwick - Sunday May 12

The Caulfield program on Saturday produced a number of progressive winners and one to really catch the eye was So You Think gelding Sure, who made it two wins in as many starts when he strode to an easy victory.

The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr trained gelding won his maiden over 1600m at Pakenham on debut last month by five lengths and made a swift transition to Saturday class with another dominant win.

Ridden by Zac Spain, he chimed in with a big finish and surged away to win again over 1600m by two and a half lenghts.

“If they win like that, they have capacity. He's got a turn of foot and was able to loop them. He had a sustained effort on him today, and it augurs well for his future, especially as an upcoming four-year-old," said Mick Price.

A $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from Lauralyn Park, Sure is the third winner from Shihabi, a metro winning half-sister by Pins to Group III winner Perast from stakes-winner Thousand Veils.

So You Think is up running third on the Australian General Sires List with progeny earnings topping $19million.
