Frankel Pair Going to Griffiths De Kock Racing

Tara Madgwick - Monday March 4

There were only two yearlings offered at Inglis Premier by the world’s best sire Frankel and both will join the stable of Griffiths De Kock Racing.

Both consigned by Aristia Park, the colt from Philonikia (GB) sold for $500,000 Griffiths de Kock Racing / MDK Australia, while the filly from Alsephina (IRE) sold for $100,000 to Griffiths deKock Racing / Peter Ford Thoroughbreds

Robbie Griffiths has been busy at this sale, but particularly pleased to have bought both Frankel youngsters.

$500,000 Frankel colt from Philonikia (GB).

The colt is the second foal of Philonikia, a winning half-sister by Kingman to Group I placed and Group winning Brimham Rocks and stakes-winner Chamade. Philonikia is also now in Australia and was covered last spring by Bivouac after missing to Fastnet Rock, the sire of Brimham Rocks.

$100,000 Frankel filly from Alsephina (IRE).

The filly is the first foal of placed Sea the Stars mare Alsephina, a daughter of stakes-winning Dubawi mare Pabouche. Alsephina is also in Australia and was covered by Russian Revolution last spring.
