$925,000 Snitzel Filly Stars for Blue Gum Farm

Tara Madgwick - Monday March 4

Leading Victorian nursery Blue Gum Farm had a big result earlier this year when selling a colt by Snitzel at Magic Millions for $1.3million, but they elected to keep two lovely fillies by Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire back for Inglis Premier and the first of them from Charleston Dancer topped the Sunday session selling for $650,000 and the second sold this morning for $925,000.

Lot 314 is a full sister to Group III winner and now promising young sire Bruckner, who topped Inglis Premier for Blue Gum in 2020 when fetching $725,000 to the bid of Aquis.

$925,000 Snitzel filly from Jestajingle.

Also a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group III winner Jukebox, the fourth foal of Jestajingle was much admired and attracted keen bidding before being knocked down to Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock for $200,000 more than her famous older brother.

Blue Gum Farm’s Sean Dingwall was thrilled with the result and relieved his star filly had sold to expectation.

“When you’ve got a high end filly like that it’s always hard to really know exactly where they fit and you have to make sure they get there in one piece, then through the ring and shown off to her best,” said Sean Dingwall.

A metro winner by champion sire Lonhro, Jestajingle comes has a prolific Black Type pedigree and her next two dams are stakes-winners Jestatune and Umatune with the family also producing Group I winner Itsahymn.

She has been a very profitable producer with her Zoustar colt last year fetching $500,000 at Inglis Premier when bought by Annabel Neasham and she had another filly by Snitzel last spring before missing to Anamoe.
