Triple Crown winner Justify (USA) posted his 20th Australian winner of the season when promising filly Miss Chenery opened her account at Canterbury on Friday night.
Trained by Chris Waller and ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, Miss Chenery was second at her first two starts and proved it was third time lucky when she was tenacious to the line in holding off $1.5million Pierro colt Pasima to win the 1550m maiden by a long neck.

Chenery was a $180,000 Inglis Easter purchase from Edinglassie Stud for Summerland Farm and was bred by Morning Rise Stud, who also bred outstanding Justify (USA) colt Storm Boy in partnership.
Miss Chenery is the fourth winner from stakes-winning Galileo mare Galizani, a half-sister to the dam of Champion 2YO and Golden Slipper winner Fireburn.
Galizani had no foal last spring, but is now in foal to Acrobat.
