The Magic Millions race day on Saturday at the Gold Coast is packed with interest and while we know all about the juveniles lining up in the $3million Magic Millions 2YO Classic, those unraced babes in the $500,000 Debut races for colts and fillies are a blank canvas.
The fillies race has a short priced favourite in Too Darn Hot (GB) filly Too Darn Lizzie, who was an ultra impressive trial winner in Sydney for the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable and is bred to go quick being from Blue Diamond place-getter Enbihaar.
She was the highest priced yearling for her sire Too Darn Hot in 2023 when selling for $1million and her half-sister by I Am Invincible sold at Magic Millions this week for $700,000 Rosemont Stud/Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA)/Mick Price Racing.
The Waterhouse Bott stable have another big chance in the colts edition with Trapeze Artist colt Barracuda performing well in his trials most recently when second to Magic Millions 2YO contender Highness.
A $440,000 purchase for China Horse Club/Newgate/Go/Trilogy, he is the most expensive runner in the field.
