$1million Zoustar Colt for James Harron Bloodstock

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 10

Segenhoe Stud sold their second million dollar colt by Zoustar at Magic Millions on Wednesday when the first foal of super fast Foxwedge mare Villami sold for $1million to James Harron Bloodstock.

$1million Zoustar colt from Villami.

He was bred by Fairway Thoroughbreds and comes with an impressive pedigree as his stakes-winning dam Villami is from Group III winner Galapagos Girl from the family of Group I winners Personal, Lone Rock and Laisserfaire.

“He was very popular. Rosemont were very strong on him and then James Harron bought him online – he’s a very clever, tricky customer – and James sourced the mare for us for John Camilleri so he knows how good she was,” said Peter O’Brien.

“She was a very fast mare, a beautiful-looking mare and he’s a real elite two-year-old type.

“James was actually underbidder on our Zoustar colt yesterday so it was great that he got this fella today.”

Segenhoe sold a Zoustar colt from Ready to Soar for $1.1million to David Ellis on Tuesday.

“He’s a ripping colt, I loved him from the time I saw him at the farm, I thought he’d progressed really well from the farm to the sales ground and just knocked it out of the park while he was here,” said James Harron.

“He’s got a really nice pedigree, he’s the first foal out of a super-fast mare and it’s a really deep pedigree from a great nursery in Segenhoe, which gives us a lot of confidence.”

Villami produced a Snitzel colt last year and is now in foal to Anamoe.
