This lightly raced Dundeel filly was an eye-catching last to first winner at Kembla last month in a $60,000 Super Maiden and stepped straight into a Benchmark 64 against older mares at Canterbury last night to power home and win again for James McDonald as a hot favourite.
A $250,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Yes Bloodstock from the Torryburn Stud draft, Mare of Mt Buller has now won two of three starts and looks as though longer races will suit her even better.
She is a half-sister to Group III placed Light Up the Room and is the fourth winner from four foals to race from Aliberani, a metro winning Redoute’s Choice grand-daughter of Group I AJC Australian Oaks winner Savana City.
It’s been a prolific Black Type family and includes this year’s Group II MRC Thousand Guineas winner Coeur Volante. A quick look at Family Search shows six entries for upcoming sales from this family, click to see them.
Aliberani was on-sold by Torryburn Stud in 2022 for $120,000 through Inglis Digital and her last yearling for them was another Dundeel filly that made $160,000 at Inglis Classic this year.
Aliberani produced yet another Dundeel filly for her new owners that has been entered for the Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale as Lot 4 by Willow Dale Farm.
Torryburn Stud have strong entries for upcoming sales with 10 for Magic Millions and 11 for Inglis Classic.
