Merson Cooper Sale Mail – Million Dollar Babies and First Seasons

There is a big card of stakes racing at Caulfield on Saturday with eight Black Type races to be decided including the Listed MRC Merson Cooper Stakes (1000m) for juveniles featuring the progeny of four of our first season sires.

Strasbourg, Blue Point (IRE), Alabama Express and Yes Yes Yes all have runners, while there are also two million dollar yearlings engaged.

 

A $1million Magic Millions purchase, Exceed and Excel filly Eneeza has raced once for a close second in the Group III VRC Ottawa Stakes and will take good improvement from the run, while $1.4million Inglis Easter purchase Media World has been tuning up for his debut in Sydney with a second in a trial behind subsequent winner Spywire.

 

 

Purchased by Yulong from the Fairview Park Stud draft, Media World is the first foal of Group winner Meryl was the most expensive yearling by Written Tycoon sold in 2023.
