Equinox Retired to Stud

The world's best racehorse Equinox has danced his last dance and been retired to stud after his resouncing victory in the Japan Cup (2400m) last Sunday.

Equinox's ownership group, Silk Horse Club, announced via their website on Thursday that the four-year-old, a winner of eight of his 10 career starts, will stand at Shadai Stallion Station in Abira-cho, Hokkaido.

Equinox is poised to continue his career at stud in 2024.

The son of Kitasan Black retires on the back of six straight Group 1 wins and with the highest ever rating (133) given to a horse in Japan by the JRA Handicapper.
