$100,000 for First Farnan Yearling Sold

The Magic Millions Strawberry Hill Stud Dispersal provided a sneak peek into the future with the first ever yearling by Kia Ora Stud’s Golden Slipper winner Farnan offered for sale this afternoon and she was snapped up by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock.

An athletic bay like her sire, the filly sold for $100,000 and is the third foal of Fly Lightly, a winning More Than Ready (USA) sibling to Group I winner Fenway (dam of G3 winner Willliamsburg) and Group III winner War.

This lovely filly is from the Deedra branch of the famed Joie Denise family and her dam Fly Lightly is also in the sale as Lot 40.

Farnan stands at a fee of $55,000 and was much admired at the Kia Ora Stud parade on Saturday. He has a first crop of around 120 yearlings with many sure to be offered at sales in 2024.
