Debut Winner for Encryption

Tara Madgwick - Saturday July 29

Eureka Stud’s exciting young sire Encryption added a sixth winner to his tally on Friday when the Annabel Neasham trained  Ozzie the Rabbit won at Ipswich on debut.

A trial winner at Deagon earlier in the month, he was well fancied and scored a half length win in the 1100m dash over the favourite Kesalul, who had won his only previous start at the same track.

Passed in as a yearling, Ozzie the Rabbit is the first winner for Sweetheart Lass, an unraced half-sister by Snitzel to stakes-winner Thunder Down Under from the family of European Horse of the Year All Along.

Sweetheart Lass produced another filly last spring by Encryption, who is up running second on the Australian First Season Sire list by earnings to only US Triple Crown winner Justify (USA) with six winners of $1.23million.

A brilliant Group II winning sprinter by Lonhro, Encryption stands at Eureka Stud at a fee of $13,200.
