Boutique Hunter Valley nursery Cressfield have a great record for securing Group I winning racemares and giving them every opportunity at stud and one of their younger mares Secret Agenda produced her first winner on Monday at Echuca.

Winner of the 2017 SAJC Robert Sangster Classic, Not a Single Doubt mare Secret Agenda retired with earnings of $1.5million and I Am Invincible was chosen as her first partner by Cressfield.

The resulting colt sold for $750,000 at Inglis Easter in the Cressfield draft to Bluebloods Thoroughbreds / Ciaron Maher Racing / Sheamus Mills Bloodstock and he made a winning debut in the 1100m maiden.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, three year-old gelding Negotiations was well fancied and showed a good change of gear to dash home and beat the favourite Princess Halo by the best part of a length.

 

“One he got into the clear I just let him find his way to top gear and I didn’t go for him too early and then he extended really well late,” said Harry Coffey.

“There’s improvement there as he raced a tad green and he might have a bit nicer turn of foot on top of the ground.”

Negotiations sold for $750,000 at Inglis Easter.

Negotiations runs in the colours of Blueblood Thoroughbreds, who also raced his mother Secret Agenda, a modest $120,000 purchase for them from Magic Millions.

Cressfield sold another yearling I Am invincible colt from Secret Agenda at Inglis Easter this year for $250,000 to Horse Ventures and she has a colt to follow by Capitalist and is in foal to Home Affairs.
