British tracks hunting Winx

Darryl Sherer - Tuesday October 17

British racetrack managements are working as a team to try and lure Winx to England in 2018.

The world wants Winx.

York chief executive William Derby is embarking on a world tour to attract horses to race in England next year and told the Racing Post Winx is top of his list.

"There are a number of key targets and Winx is the big filly that we're very much focused on," Derby said.

"The approach that all the tracks involved – us, Ascot, Goodwood, Newbury, Jockey Club Racecourses, Leopardstown and France – is that rather than all of us randomly trying to attract her individually, we're going to work together and map out the options for her in concert and try to get her over."

Yorks main race is the £1million Group I Juddmonte International over a mile and a quarter in August.
