There were only a couple of juvenile trials at Rosehill on Tuesday morning with wins for promising colts by Russian Revolution and Trapeze Artist, while at Doomben a $1million I Am Invincible colt did everything right.
Trained by Kacy Fogden, I Am Invincible colt Money Team was having his first trial and was an impressive winner by a big margin.
Bred and sold by Torryburn Stud at Inglis Easter, he was bought by TFI/Kia-Ora Stud and is the first foal of Group III winning So You Think mare The Pinnacle.
At Rosehill, Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou produced Russian Revolution colt General Salute, who has been off the scene since finishing third on debut behind Red Resistance and Steel City.
Given the subsequent achievements of Red Resistance and Steel City, it’s not hard to think General Salute could be in for a good campaign and was always hard held winning this heat very quietly.
Retained to race by his breeder, General Salute is a three-quarter brother to Group II ATC Villiers Stakes winner Brutality.
Also from the same stable is dashing grey Trapeze Artist colt Snatchreilly, whose only start was a seventh in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate last spring on the heavy. This was his second trial back and he looked sharp and ready to go back to the races with this very easy win.
A $600,000 Inglis Easter purchase for his trainers from the Widden Stud draft, Snatchreilly is the second foal of Natchwhali, a winning half-sister by O’Reilly to Group winners Oceanex, Amexed and Miss Aotearoa.
