Sebring Sun Chasing Back to Back Capricornia Classic

Tara Madgwick - Friday March 31

Young Sebring stallion Sebring Sun sired Sammiballerina to win the $125,000 Capricornia 2YO Classic at Rockhampton last year and he has a great chance of going back to back in the feature race with two runners again this Saturday.

Worth $150,000 and run over 1200m, the Capricornia Classic features 12 runners with Sebring Sun gelding Sunnycoast to carry the number one saddle cloth after posting two wins at Townsville and Rockhampton from three starts.

Also throwing her hat into the mix is his promising filly Steaming Sun, who has placed at her only two starts and jumps from gate three.

Sebring Sun

With his oldest progeny just three year-olds, Sebring Sun has done a good job from small numbers with eight winners from 13 runners and stands at Glenthorne Park Thoroughbreds.
