Russian Revolution filly Coast Princess was having her second start following a debut third at Sale earlier this month and finished off with a late surge to win the 1200m maiden by a head.

A $140,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Sledmere Stud draft for Lindsay Park Racing, Coast Princess was also bred by Sledmere and is the second winner from Group III placed Universal Prince mare Spirited Princess, a half-sister to stakes-winner Fire Thunderbolt.

Sledmere sold a Written By colt from Spirited Princess at Inglis Classic this year for $45,000 and she has a colt to follow by Russian Revolution.

Coast Princess is the seventh two year-old winner this season for Russian Revolution, who will have three Group I runners on Saturday with The Instructor and Dubenenko taking on the Blue Diamond, while Revolutionary Miss lines up in the Group I ATC Surround Stakes.
