Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 12

Champion sire Snitzel posted his second million dollar yearling of the sale when his Arrowfield Stud bred and consigned colt from Super Cash sold for $1.1million on Thursday.

The second foal of Written Tycoon’s brilliant Group II winning sprinter Super Cash, he was bought by Michael Hickmott Bloodstock/Douglas Whyte Racing.

“When he stepped out of the box he just had presence about him. A lovely pedigree and from the minute we saw him we fell in love with him,” said Douglas Whyte.

“He’s got a lot of speed there and great depth.”

His mother Super Cash certainly had speed to burn and was twice Group I placed earning over $1.1million in prizemoney.

“We’re putting this together with a group of clients in Hong Kong and Australia as a stallion prospect for here. My phone is going mad at the moment,” said Michael Hickmott.

Super Cash was covered again by champion sire Snitzel last spring.
