$230,000 Colt for D’Argento Bought by DGR

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 11

Bowness Stud’s dashing grey Group I winning So You Think stallion D’Argento has his first yearlings being offered at Magic Millions and had a great result on Wednesday with a colt from Saggiatore selling for $230,000.

Consigned by Bowness Stud, he was bought by Duncan Ramage of DGR Thoroughbreds.

“He presents in the style of a Bart Cummings classic staying prospect, so am pleased to combine with Bart’s former foreman Matthew Smith to see if we can replicate our mentor’s success,” said Duncan Ramage.

$230,000 D'Argento colt from Saggiatore.

A strong athletic grey like his sire, the colt is a half-brother to three winners and comes from a big Black Type family as his dam is a half-sister by world champion sire Galileo to stakes-winner Follow Gold, the dam of Group I winner and Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Driefontein.
