The first colt by champion sire Exceed and Excel to be offered at Magic Millions this year was an early highlight on Wednesday morning when making $800,000 for Ian Smith’s Edinburgh Park Stud.
A three-quarter brother to multiple Group I placed Group II MVRC Stutt Stakes winner Glenfiddich, the colt was purchased by Kia Ora Stud in partnership with TFI Investments/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing
He has a two year-old full sister that sold for $625,000 at Inglis Easter last year and is the fifth foal of Nothin But a Dream (USA), a half-sister to the dam of multiple stakes-winner Eleven Eleven, who was also bred and sold by Edinburgh Park.
Nothin But a Dream produced a filly by Zoustar last spring and was then covered by Palace Pier (GB).
