$1.25 million for Russian Conquest Sibling

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 10

Newgate Farm sold the highest priced filly during the first session of Magic Millions on Tuesday when their Snitzel filly from My Conquestadory (USA) sold for $1.25million.

The star filly is a three-quarter sister to the Peter and Paul Snowden trained Russian Conquest, who was narrowly beaten in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic last year and is favourite for the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas on Saturday.

She was bought by Snowden Racing/William Johnson Bloodstock (FBAA)/Trilogy Racing and is the fourth foal of imported Group I winner My Conquestadory, whose three foals to race are all winners.

$1.25million Snitzel filly from My Conquestadory.

My Conquestadory had no foal last spring after slipping to Exceed and Excel and was then covered by Russian Conquest’s sire Russian Revolution.

A Group I winner of the Keeneland Alcibiades Stakes at two and fourth in the Group I Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, Artie Schiller mare My Conquestadory was purchased by Newgate Farm and SF Bloodstock for $US1.5million at the 2016 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale and has certainlyproven a fine investment.
