All
Too Hard has been churning out the winners since the start of the season with
smart filly Za Zi Ba adding to his tally with a tenacious win at Canterbury on
Wednesday.
The Brad Widdup trained filly scored at Wyong at the back end of her two year-old
season and was a last start winner at Kembla.
Taking on colts and geldings for the Benchmark 68 event over 1200 metres, Za Zi
Ba led all the way and held on strongly to win by a long head.
Za Zi Ba was a $400,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft
and runs for a partnership that includes Max Whitby, Neil Werrett and Damion
Flower.
With three wins from seven starts and prizemoney topping $75,000, Za Zi Ba is a
real trier that can only improve.
A half-sister to Group III placed Redoutable Heart, Za Zi Ba is the fifth
winner from stakes-placed More Than Ready (USA) mare Wiener, a sibling to Group
I winner Snitzel and Group III winners Hinchinbrook and Viennese.
Vinery Stud's All Too Hard leads the Australian Second Season Sires List and
stands this spring at a fee of $44,000.
