Spring Champion Stakes day fields and form online

The Group I Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) headlines a nine race program which is supported by two other stakes events and Racenet has the fields and form online.

The feature three-year-old event will be supported by Group II Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) and the Group III Angst Stakes (1600m) for the mares.

David Payne's Ace High has opened favourite for this year's Spring Champion Stakes having won the Group III Gloaming Stakes (1800m) last start.

Ace High has drawn barrier four while the second favourite and runner-up in the Gloaming Stakes, Sanctioned has drawn barrier 10.

Queenslander Surprise Bullet has been handed barrier five for his Sydney Group I quest. The Barry Lockwood-trained colt broke his maiden last start over 1800m by five lengths at the Gold Coast.

In the Angst Stakes, Golden Pendant winner Daysee Doom has been assigned 57kg under the set weights and penalties conditions of the race along with stablemate Dixie Blossoms. The remaining 12 runners will carry between 56kg and 54kg.

The Les Bridge-trained Zenalicious, ran on strongly into fifth in the Gold Pendant and has drawn well in barrier two.

A small but competitive field of eight three-year-olds will clash in the Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) including Viridine, Single Bullet and Chauffeur and Queensland visitor Snitzkraft.

The Randwick track was rated a good (4) at acceptance time. The rail on Saturday will be in the three-metre position.
