Home Affairs Arrives Safely at Coolmore

Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 21

Explosive sprinter Home Affairs has arrived safely at Coolmore Australia ready to take up stud duties this spring.

A two time Group I winning sprinter by the champion sire elect I Am Invincible from a noted sire producing female family, Home Affairs stands at a fee of $110,000.

Home Affairs with Tom Magnier.

“Winner of the Coolmore - by daylight - and the Lightning, from Nature Strip and Eduardo, Home Affairs was clearly the best sprinter of his generation,” said Tom Magnier.

“A Silver Slipper winner at two, this son of I Am Invincible was the first 3yo since Fastnet Rock in 2005 to win the Lightning and he did it in faster time than both Fastnet Rock and Choisir.

“Those are sire-line and performance credentials enough for any stallion. Now add to the mix the sire-producing family of Encosta de Lago, Flying Spur and Russian Revolution.”

Bred by Torryburn Stud and purchased by Tom Magnier at Inglis Easter, Home Affairs was prepared by Chris Waller and is an imposing individual with a great temperament that has made him a pleasure to train.

“An $875,000 yearling, Home Affairs is as magnificent a specimen as ever retired to stud - big, strong and beautiful, with a great galloping action,” Magnier added.

“We can’t wait to show him off to breeders.”

Home Affairs has been very popular already and will cover some of Australia’s best, including household names like Sunlight, Booker, Champagne Cuddles etc.
