Newgate Farm’s Deep Field has made history setting a new record for HK seasonal earnings and is poised to be Champion Hong Kong Sire for 2021/2022.
With only a few weeks of the Hong Kong season left to run, which ends with a final meeting on July 16, Deep Field has an unassailable lead over his rivals with 14 winners of $HK 54million with his star performer the Group I Hong Kong Sprint winner Sky Field.
Deep Field will take over as the most successful sire ever in Hong Kong by earnings beating the previous record held by Medaglia D’Oro (USA) set last season when his champion son Golden Sixty cut a swathe through the best Hong Kong races.

Deep Field has achieved his success with a broad spread of 14 winners with many of them scoring multiple wins as they have progressed through their grades.
Tractable and trainable speed horses, his stock have proven well suited to the rigours and unique environment of Hong Kong racing and as a result many of his quality yearling colts find themselves with a passport to Hong Kong.
Deep Field enjoyed his best ever year in the sale ring in 2022 and posted his first million dollar yearling with Hawkes Racing paying $1million for his Newgate Farm consigned colt from Capital Commander at the Gold Coast.
At Magic Millions, he had 48 yearlings in total average just shy of $300,000 and at Inglis Easter had a further 12 average $286,667 providing sensational returns for his many supporters.
Deep Field stands this spring at a fee of $88,000.
