The Chris Waller stable has a knack for producing nice late season juveniles and we can add Pierro colt Osipenko to that list of up and comers after he powered clear for a debut win at Rosehill on Saturday.
Tuned up with two recent trials, Osipenko relished the 1300m at his first start, travelling smoothly back in the field for Josh Parr before hitting top gear over the final furlong to charge between runners and race clear.
He won by nearly four lengths over his stable mate Madame Pommery, who had won her previous start in town.

"He's a typical Pierro, they take a bit of time so we just looked after him early days and brought him back in. He's strengthened up and matured a lot.
"He's still got a lot of growing to do but he's a lovely colt moving forward and I'm sure the ownership group are going to have a really nice time ahead."
A $160,000 Karaka Book 1 purchase for Kaha / Chris Waller Racing from the Valach Downs draft, Osipenko is the first winner from stakes-placed import Raskova (USA), a half-sister to US stakes--winner Dogtag from the family of champion sires Shamardal and Street Cry.
Osipenko is another smart 2YO winner for Pierro, who has had a pair of stakes-winning juveniles this year in Group II ATC Percy Sykes Stakes winner Paris Dior and Lord Cosmos in New Zealand.
