Rich Enuff's Bubble Palace Goes Two for Two

Mark Smith - Tuesday May 3

Bubble Palace earned a Breednet ‘One To Watch’ following her debut win at Ballarat on April 24, and the strapping daughter of Rich Enuff looks to have progressed nicely, judging by her three and three-quarter length romp in the $125,000 Callaghan Motors Gold Strike (1000m) at Warrnambool.

Given a positive ride by Harry Coffey, the Daniel Bowman-trained 2yo took some time to find the front from an outside barrier. Once she did, Coffey controlled the race and was never in danger.

From her first two starts, Bubble Palace has returned $105,300 of the $180,000 paid by Mystery Downs / John Foote from the Woodside Park Stud draft at the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Bowman said that he holds the daughter of Rich Efuff in high regard.

“I don’t get nervous often unless I think they are pretty serious. I was toey at Ballarat and probably more toey today,” Bowman told Racing.com.

“It’s just a relief when people like Frank and Christine Cook buy a yearling for this price. They could have given it to anyone. They entrusted us, and it is good to repay them.

“She is a big horse. This was a fillies race, and she looked like a colt among them. She has a good cruising speed and can quicken off it.

“She is professional. Time will tell when things don’t go our way up on speed. We have time to give her a break and teach her that next time.

“Harry had to do a bit of work on her early. But he knows what he has underneath him.

“There are plenty of (3yo) fillies races that suit her. We will probably give her a break now, let her grow, and have some fun in the spring.

Bubble Palace is a half-sister to Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock’s highly regarded Cable Bay filly Tiz My Baby, who was far from disgraced in the Group III Ethereal Stakes, Group II Wakeful Stakes, and Group 1 VRC Oaks last spring.

Their dam, the winning Snitzel filly Tiz My View, has been catalogued for the 2022 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale on May 8.

A half-sister to the recent Sha Tin winner Shanghai Dragon (All Too Hard), Tiz My View carries a positive test to Hanseatic on a September 1 cover.
