American Pharoah Filly Wins by Five

Tara Madgwick - Thursday April 28

It’s been a winning week for Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (USA), who has again been listed on the Coolmore roster for 2022 and had an impressive winner at Wyong on Thursday for Annabel Neasham.

Three year-old filly African Daisy was resuming from a lengthy spell and maturity has worked wonders. Place in one of three previous starts last spring when she was never far away, African Daisy gave nothing else a chance in the 1350m maiden, bolting clear to win by more than five lengths as a short priced favourite.

A $115,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft for Aquis Farm, African Daisy now runs for Dynamic Syndications and was bred by Robert Crabtree of Dorrington Farm. She is the third winner from Ciguaraya (USA), an imported stakes-winning sibling to two more US stakes-winners in Silver Time and Midnight Soiree.

American Pharoah is on the Coolmore roster for 2022.
American Pharoah will be represented in the Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks on Saturday by Pretty Amazing and is standing this spring at Coolmore at a fee of $49,500.
