Consistent stakes success built over time is what sets some vendors apart from their rivals with the current crop of two year-olds from Segenhoe Stud racing up a perfect storm in the lead up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale next week.
The paddocks of Segenhoe have produced a long honour roll of superior stakes performing athletes at a strike rate of 16% with Group I winners such as Merchant Navy, King’s Legacy, Oohood, Manuel, Hiyaam, Eagle Way, Mizzy and HK International Sprint winner Sky Field leading the way.
Adding their names to the Segenhoe story of success this year have been Group winning 2YO fillies Seven Veils (Shalaa (IRE) and Amelia’s Jewel (Siyouni) as well as exciting unbeaten 2YO colts Let’srollthedice (Dundeel) and Millane (Zoustar), a brilliant stakes-winner on debut at Flemington.
Not to mention Group placed Drisana and Emperor, who has a half-sister in the Inglis Easter draft.
Let’srollthedice won the Group II VRC Sires Produce Stakes at his most recent run and will seek to up the ante in the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes at Randwick this Saturday.
Millane was a $1,150,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Segenhoe draft last year for Moody Racing / Rosemont Victorian Alliance / Suman Hedge Bloodstock (FBAA) / David Redvers Bloodstock and looks every inch the stallion prospect in the making they were hoping to purchase!
Segenhoe raise and consign yearlings for themselves and clients showcasing a wide variety of champion sires ensuring broad appeal across the marketplace.
