Breednet Track First Season Sires at the Trials

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday February 23

At this time of year there is great interest in the progeny of first season sires stepping out at the trials so Breednet are tracking them and our report for this week features 10 stallions with unraced trial winners in the pipeline and one that hasn’t had a trial winner, but has had six to trial this month that have all run well.

Russian Revolution

That sire is the division leader Russian Revolution, who is the only first season sire with a runner in the Blue Diamond on Saturday in Revolutionary Miss.

He’s had six trial horses this month and three of them are entered for the big autumn feature races so watch this space for his next winner!

The report catalogues the performance of all progeny of first season sires up until they race offering a quick way to see anything of interest that may be in the pipeline.

These horses remain on the list up until they go to the races, so the list only features UNRACED two year-olds.

First season sires with trial winners on this list this week are: Caravaggio (USA), Hellbent, Heroic Valour, Highland Reel (IRE), Impending, Invader, Kobayashi, Merchant Navy, Pariah and The Mission.

Several of their heat winners are entered to race this weekend so there will be plenty of action to watch on Saturday.
