D'ARGENTO

Hugh Bowman

Nice win, nice horse. Didn't surprise me. He's taken a pretty progressive step to win here today and I feel he's got a lot of progression left. He feels to me like a horse that's going to excel over 2000(m), possibly further – he's not a sit and sprint type.

2nd

RUNAWAY

Adam Hyeronimus

Nice horse. Progressing the right way and will appreciate going up in trip.

3rd

ALMIGHTY

Tim Clark

Solid effort.

4th

COLESBERG

Jason Collett

Settled a bit further back than what we would have liked but found the line really well. Will be a nice horse over a bit more ground.

5th

CONDOR

Rory Hutchings

Stuck on well. Had his chance.

6th

HOSTWIN MERAKI

Joshua Parr

Raced a bit tired today.

7th

LETS GET NAUTI GAL

Rachel King (a)

Good run up to Saturday grade. Will be better next preparation.

8th

ALL TOO SOON

Jay Ford

She was disappointing. Tracked the winner but never let down in the straight at all.

9th

POETIC DIVA

Corey Brown

She's 12 months off being a racehorse.

10th

REGAL CANNON

Brenton Avdulla

Scratched at the barriers.

CLEAR THE BEACH

Tough win. Lucky they didn't have speakers on the home corner because you wouldn't have liked to know what I was saying. He should have just absolutely bolted in.

2nd

DIFFICULT TO GET

Corey Brown

Ran really well. Just had to go back a further pair than what I would have liked from the bad barrier but she went super.

3rd

AKASAKI

Blaike McDougall (a)

Didn't get our own way in front but it was a good run.

4th

WIDE ACCLAIM

Deanne Panya (a)

He went good. He's just not quite sharp enough in this class. Maybe he'll benefit over 1200(m).

5th

ROCKAFELLA

Brenton Avdulla

He didn't run too bad. Obviously first-up for a while. He's one to follow.

6th

QUANTRILL

Tim Clark

Bled.

ARBEITSAM

Tim Clark

Strong win. It was a good effort by the team and the horse to come back in trip sharply in a short period of time. He's had a good prep. He's a horse that has just kept improving.

2nd

THE PHAROAH

Brenton Avdulla

He ran as well as he could up in grade. They were just a bit good for him.

3rd

REACH FOR HEAVEN

Hugh Bowman

I thought he was very good, just the firm track held him back a length or so.

4th

COSMIC ENGINE

Glyn Schofield

He was a bit slow out but he's probably looking for a little bit further now.

5th

JEANNEAU

Jason Collet

Fair.

6th

VIRGILIO

Jay Ford

He was up in grade but he acquitted himself pretty well I thought.

7th

INSENSATA

Adam Hyeronimus

It's just going to be very hard to make up ground today.

MY TAGOSON

Going great. He's still learning. He's a bit timid around other horses but once he works it out he'll be a nice horse.

3rd

CAESAR'S GHOST

Tim Clark

He ran really well.

4th

NIC'S VENDETTA

Rachel King (a)

Big run, just stretched over the 1500m.

5th

CHADANA

Kathy O'Hara

She was unlucky. Probably should have won.

6th

FORCE OF MAGIC

Andrew Adkins (a)

Racing well but we got a bump from both sides at the 300m and it kind of fell out the window then.

7th

JACKKNIFE

Courtney Van Der Werf (a)

Just didn't get a clear run in the straight.

8th

APPOINT PERCY

Brenton Avdulla

Every chance.

SUSPENDERS

Christian Reith

Good win, nice filly. She's done everything right this preparation. She had two nice lead up runs and this race was mapped out for her at the start of the prep. It's good that it has worked out, not only for me but for Brad Widdup and Damion Flower. It was good to get a city win for them.

2nd

SLUMBER PARTY

Brenton Avdulla

Really good run.

3rd

FAITH'S ENCORE

Glyn Schofield

Really good run. Big weight and finished well.

4th

SECOND STEP

Joshua Parr

Sound effort. Could pick up a mid-week.

5th

VIENNA ROMANCE

Jay Ford

Another consistent run just had to concede too great a start from a bad barrier.

6th

ALLUVION

Jason Collett

Just got back too far from the gate. Needs a better draw to be closer to the speed.

7th

I'M IMOGEN

Andrew Adkins (a)

Back a bit further than I wanted but made really nice ground to the line.

8th

FEIRIN

Hugh Bowman

A nice filly but just a bit new.

9th

PANDEIA

Rachel King (a)

Not a bad run but just didn't have much luck.

10th

MISS PARKIN

James Innes Jnr (a)

Travelled nicely but when push came to shove just didn't stretch out for me.

11th

LADY CHALFONT

Instead of going ping it went pong.

VAUCLUSE BAY

Corey Brown

He was good. The race was a bit muddling. They were a bit slow mid-raced and then took off. He tracked up nice and I liked the way he accelerated. He had no weight but when I pushed the button he really accelerated. It was impressive.

2nd

MORE THAN FABULOUS

James Innes Jnr (a)

Ran super. I thought I'd be fifth or sixth but he jumped and travelled strong and there wasn't a lot happening so I just rolled with him with the light weight.

3rd

LIFE O'BRIEN

Brenton Avdulla

He ran well. He's such a casual bugger I reckon he'd be better off with a bunny. I know he has led and won but he switched off the entire way and the race was over and he went again.

4th

GO BENNY

Jay Ford

Did really well off a slow tempo. For him to close off was pretty good.

5th

VASSAL

Jason Collett

Travelled well to the turn but couldn't sprint with them.

6th

ENCOSTA LINE

Glyn Schofield

It was a steady tempo but he finished off ok.

7th

MAGICAL STANCE

Andrew Adkins (a)

He was caught wide no cover but travelled well. A bit disappointing in the straight.

8th

ZOURKHAN

Hugh Bowman

He's had a while between runs but he should have gone better.

9th

FOUR CARAT

Tim Clark

Wants further.

10th

Lovely run off that gate. I did no work. The run opened at the right time and it was just a matter of not going too soon.

2nd

CLASSIC UNIFORM

Tim Clark

He went good, he just wants it a bit wetter. He's going better than ever though.

3rd

SLIGHTLY SWEET

Jess Taylor

It was a super run. She probably should have gone close to winning but just had no luck up the straight.

4th

SULTAN OF SWING

James Innes Jnr (a)

He went good. He probably used a bit of petrol early. If we had drawn a gate he puts himself in a good spot and shows a bit more late but he tried his heart out.

5th

GOLD SYMPHONY

Hugh Bowman

Wasn't quite himself today and raced under par.

6th

SNIPPETS LAND

Corey Brown

He didn't have a lot of luck between the 600m and 400m but when he got out he could have got to the line a bit better.

7th

BERRY DELICIOUS

Rachel King (a)

Just needs a bit of rain around again but in great form.

8th

ELLE LOU

Glyn Schofield

The track was too firm.

9th

EXTENSIBLE

Kathy O'Hara

10th

CENTRE PIVOT

Jay Ford

Too hard to make up ground.

11th

LIAPARI

Brenton Avdulla

He obviously finished off ok behind them. I thought he ran ok. It was a race that changed complexion. Back in his right grade around a mile will suit.

I thought he ran out of his skin. He raced a bit fresh. He'll improve a lot out of that, he's still big and pretty.

I was drawn one and the speed just wasn't in the race.

6th

ZARA BAY

Jay Ford

Disappointing and had every chance.

I pushed the button not expecting what I got. She just exploded from about the 500m. I got there way too soon. It was a tough effort.

2nd

AWOKE

Brenton Avdulla

Ran good. I tracked Gai's horse and I got to the outside of it and it hung off. Corey got the run through. We drew level at the furlong but his was just too strong.

3rd

ELOUERA

Andrew Adkins (a1.5)

Good solid run.

4th

WAHNG WAH

Adam Hyeronimus

Very good run. She's got a win in her soon. Just needs everything to go her way.

5th

LONG TIME AGO

Nick Heywood

Just didn't get round the corner and lost a couple of lengths. Ideally it would have been better to lead.

6th

GIRL SUNDAY

Joshua Parr

Possibly at the end of the preparation.

7th

LOVE'S A FANTASY

Jay Ford

Didn't offer much.

8th

QUEEN MISTY

Tim Clark

She's going well. She might appreciate a bit more give in the track. You might see her next week.

9th

LABDIEN

Jason Collett

Went back off the wide gate. She worked home ok. It was too big a task.

10th
