Exciting young sire Shalaa (IRE) has plenty of admirers and Rheinwood Pastoral will offer two yearlings at Inglis Classic by the Arrowfield young gun including a filly with a significant pedigree update that you won’t find on the catalogue page.

Lot 123 is an athletic bay filly, the third foal of unraced Orchid Beach, a half-sister to stakes-winner Insistence from the family of $1.5million earner Outback Barbie, Group III winner Mind Your Head and stakes-winners Ringside Lady, She’s Purring and Global Warming.

The first foal from Orchid Beach is a cracking Deep Field colt that was sold by Rheinwood Pastoral for $200,000 at Magic Millions in 2020 to Upper Bloodstock.

Named Orchid Road and given to Peter Robl to train, the three year-old gelding won trials at Randwick and Hawkesbury last October and December and has now arrived in Hong Kong where he will join the Frankie Lor stable.

Deep Field has become a great favourite with HK owners thanks to the success of Group I winner Sky Field and others such as Winning Dreamer, My Sugar, Circuit Seven and All in Mind among his 17 winners in the region.

Success for Orchid Road will certainly enhance the value of this lovely filly, who already has a quality Black Type pedigree.

Deep Field was in hot demand at Magic Millions and he is the sire of Lot 48, a filly from two time winner Majestic Faith, a three-quarter sister to stakes-winner Black Minx, the dam of $1.8million earning Group III winner So Si Bon, who has been Group I placed four times.

For yearling buyers seeking a ticket in the ultimate lottery to win a Ferrari offered by Coolmore for the first person to race a Justify that can win one of several designated Group I races, Rheinwood may have a dark horse in Lot 779.

He is the third foal from unraced So You think mare Elegant Air, a half-sister to Group I ATC Champagne Stakes winner Go Indy Go and Group III winner Essay Raider from the family of Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed and Golden Slipper winner Ha Ha.

Some of the designated races for Justify offspring that could put the winner into a Ferrari are the Caulfield Guineas, Randwick Guineas and Rosehill Guineas with this colt boasting a pedigree that screams Classic potential!
