t was consigned by Newgate Farm, who sold the $1.9million I Am Invincible colt from Suspicieuse (FR) to Tom Magnier on Thursday.

Bred by SF Bloodstock and foaled and raised at Newgate, the colt is the third foal of the very fast US Group III winner Ben’s Duchess, who is by noted speed sire Munnings.

$1million Pierro colt from Ben's Duchess (USA).

Ben’s Duchess was one of a number of mares bought from the 2016 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale by SF Bloodstock in partenrship with Newgate and they paid $US350,000 for her along with My Conquestadory (USA) for $US1.5million and Peace Time (USA) for $US260,000.

The latter two mares both have runners in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, My Conquestadory is the dam of Russian Conquest (Russian Revolution) and Peace Time is the dam of Miss Hellfire (Hellbent).

Obviously Newgate are on the right track in sourcing fast stakes class mares for the US with diverse pedigrees to match with Australian speed sires.

This colt is the second million dollar yearling of the sale for Newgate Farm and also the second for Pierro.
