Raheen Stud’s exciting young sire Heroic Valour has two runners from his first crop of two year-olds in the $2million Magic Millions 2YO Classic on Saturday in Heroic Son and Mishani Persuasion, the Group I winning son of Fastnet Rock already making his mark at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale this week.
Heroic Valour had only two yearlings in Book 1 and both provided a great result for Raheen Stud.
The colt from Maputo Express was bought for $100,000 by Te Akau boss David Ellis, who bought and raced his sire Heroic Valour, while the filly from Sweet Cherub became the most expensive yearling by her sire ever sold when fetching $260,000.
The half-sister to unbeaten stakes-winner Sweet Dolly and four other winners was bought by Cunningham Thoroughbreds/Clarke Bloodstock Pty Ltd.
Heroic Valour has 10 more yearlings to be offered in Book 2 and they include Lot 934, the half-brother to stakes-winner Throssel and stakes-placed Germayne Lass from terrific producer O’Venus.
